St Edmunds Society has over the years provided immediate support and intervention for hundreds of homeless young men. More recently the Society has begun supporting vulnerable young people in developing their life, social and educational skills.
Through our services we have a proven track record of making positive differences in the lives of many homeless young people in Norfolk. By providing a high level of support and supervision residents staying at or moving on from St Edmunds Society and others benefit from an improved sense of self-esteem and morale.
Those that we have contact with are encouraged to develop life skills that we hope to see them put into practice thus producing a new pattern to their lives as they take up jobs, move into their own flats and begin to cope with independent living and daily tasks such as shopping, cooking, cleaning and laundry.
The work is widely recognised by local MP’s, Norwich City Council, Supporting People, Norfolk County Council Childrens Services, Probation, local schools, the Youth Offending Team, the PRU and other voluntary agencies.
